Both Clegg's and O'Connor's research papers will be considered for publication in the Journal of Biomedical Materials Research or Applied Biomaterials. They also received travel support to attend to the World Biomaterials Congress.

Ankur Singh, an alum who received his Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from The University of Texas in 2010, was recognized with the SFB's Young Investigator Award. Singh is an assistant professor in the Sibley School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at Cornell University.
