The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) has selected Prinda Wanakule, a graduate student in Professor Krishnendu Roy’s lab, to hold the office of Graduate Student Task Force Chair.

The Society of Women Engineers(SWE) has selected Prinda Wanakule, a graduate student in Professor Krishnendu Roy’s lab, to hold the office of Graduate Student Task Force Chair.

In this role, Wanakule will provide leadership to the graduate student community and recommendations to the SWE’s Board of Directors on how to better engage with and meet the needs of graduate student members; she will also organize and facilitate graduate student meetings and activities. Wanakule has previously served as SWE’s Graduate Member Coordinator, where she was instrumental in developing and implementing the organization's first professional development programs for graduate students.

SWE is a not-for-profit educational and services organization consisting of nearly 21,000 members worldwide. SWE empowers women to succeed and advance in the engineering field and to gain recognition for their life-changing contributions as engineers and leaders.
