Abstract

This presentation will provide information concerning how research can be used to promote the health and wellbeing of Native Americans. Examples will be used from intervention studies guided by Native American theoretical frameworks and models developed by Dr. Lowe. Additionally, historical and current perspectives will be discussed that will provide an understanding for the high prevalence of health disparity issues among Native Americans.
