The Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) recognizes Professor Nicholas Peppas with the Pritzker Distinguished Lecture Award. According to BMES, the award “recognizes outstanding achievements and leadership in the science and practice of biomedical engineering.”

Peppas will deliver a plenary lecture at the annual BMES conference in Minneapolis this October, which will serve as a critical review of the biomedical engineering field and offer a vision for its future. The text of the lecture will be published in the Annals of Biomedical Engineering.

Peppas is a leading researcher in the field of biomaterials, drug delivery, and bionanotechnology. He is director of the Institute of Biomaterials, Drug Delivery and Regenerative Medicine.
