Woojung Shin, a graduate student working with Professor Hyun Jung Kim in the Biomimetic Microengineering Lab, has been awarded a Keystone Symposia Future of Science Fund.

The scholarship will support her travel to the upcoming Keystone Symposia conference on Organs- and Tissues-on-Chips in Big Sky, Montana this upcoming April. She was placed in the top three from a pool of global applicants.

The Keystone Symposia on Molecular and Cellular Biology is a nonprofit organization that connects scientists through global conferences covering a broad range of life sciences.

Shin was previously awarded an IFER Graduate Student Fellowship for her research in microengineering and disease models.
