Nicholas Peppas will be the recipient of the 2010 Acta Biomaterialia Gold Medal Award, one of the most prestigious awards in biomaterials science recognizing “excellence in research and development”.
Nicholas Peppas will be the recipient of the 2010 Acta Biomaterialia Gold Medal Award, one of the most prestigious awards in biomaterials science recognizing “excellence in research and development”. The criteria indicate “... the awardee should be an undisputed world leader in the field of biomaterials, whose accomplishments in discovery and translation to practice are surpassing and known to all in the field”. The award consist of a gold medal, plaque and a cash honorarium. This award will be presented at the 2010 Biomedical Engineering Society’s Annual Meeting in Austin, in October 2010.
