Dr. Elizabeth Cosgriff-Hernandez will join The University of Texas at Austin as a full professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering on August 1, 2017.

Cosgriff Hernandez Elizabeth 

Cosgriff-Hernandez completed a postdoctoral fellowship in orthopedic tissue engineering at Rice University and received her B.S. in biomedical engineering and Ph.D. in macromolecular science and engineering, both from Case Western Reserve University. She is a fellow of the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering and the recipient of a Texas A&M University Excellence in Teaching Award, Dean of Engineering Excellence Award, and TEES Select Young Faculty Award, among many other recognitions.

“It has been a pleasure to work with Dr. Cosgriff-Hernandez on the Board of the Society for Biomaterials and the Tissue Enigneering and Regenerative Medicine International Society Americas Council,” said Department of Biomedical Engineering Chair Shelly Sakiyama-Elbert. “I look forward to her continuing her excellent research program at The University of Texas at Austin and her ongoing efforts to promote diversity in the field of biomedical engineering.”
