Eight biomedical engineering undergradaute students have been awarded a scholarship through the Unrestricted Endowed Presidential Scholarship (UEPS) program.

The following students will receive $2500 for the 2019–2020 academic year: Sarah Bi, Tatiana Larina, Joshua Mccune, Mayna Nguyen, Michael Talanker, Parin Thakkar, Jordyn Wyse, and Oliver Zhao.

The Unrestricted Endowed Presidential Scholarship (UEPS) program was created in 1973 to make available substantial scholarships for outstanding students at The University of Texas at Austin. The UEPS program is considered one of the most notable scholarship offers for UT students. In addition to a nomination by their academic department and display of academic excellence, strong consideration is given to students exhibiting leadership and continuous involvement in extracurricular activities.
