It was recently announced that among 4,367 papers, the two most cited papers in this journal are the contributions of Prof. Nicholas Peppas and his former student Philip Ritger that introduced the exponential equation for the analysis of relaxation and diffusion-controlled release behavior from swellable and non-swellable drug delivery systems.
