The BME Department honored new graduates at a reception on May 19.
The University of Texas at Austin granted 65 bachelor's, two master's, and six, doctoral degrees in biomedical engineering at spring commencement on May 19, 2017.
Prior to the Cockrell School of Engineering's ceremony, the Department of Biomedical Engineering hosted a reception for graduates and their friends and family. View photos from the BME Graduation Reception.
Department Chair Shelly Sakiyama-Elbert presented Reece Stevens (B.S. 2017) with an undergraduate leadership award.
Sakiyama-Elbert also recognized Professor Ken Diller for his dedication and years of service in teaching a Maymester biotransport course in Cambridge. Diller has taught the course since 2006. Professor James Tunnell will begin teaching the course beginning in 2018.
