Salma Ayoub, a graduate student working with Professor Michael Sacks, has been awarded a 2016 BMES Innovation & Career Development Award.

Ayoub Receives BMES Innovation and Career Development Award

Ayoub's research is focused on better understanding the mechanics of surgically repaired mitral heart valves.

This travel award provides a complimentary registration to the 2016 BMES Annual Meeting at the Minneapolis Convention Center and an $800 travel stipend to help cover meeting travel expenses.

The award winners will be announced at the Engineering Low-Cost Solutions to Address Health Care Disparities Session at the Annual Meeting scheduled for Thursday, October 6, 2016.
