The University of Texas Department of Biomedical Engineering is a joint venture among the Department of Biomedical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center and the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. It was established as a joint department spanning the three institutions on Sept. 1, 2006.
