Nicholas A. Peppas will receive the BioNIUM Distinguished Researcher and Educator Award, sponsored by the Biomedical Nanotechnology Institute of University of Miami (BioNIUM).

He will receive the award and give a presentation titled The next generation of intelligent, recognitive medical micro-and nano-devices at the Miami 2012 Winter Symposium: Nanotechnology in Biomedicine, a conference held by Nature Publishing Group, at the University of Miami on February 26–29, 2012.
