The National Science Foundation (NSF) Division of Materials Research recently selected Dr. Christine Schmidt as an American Competiveness and Innovation (ACI) Fellow for 2010.

The National Science Foundation (NSF) Division of Materials Research recently selected Dr. Christine Schmidt as an American Competiveness and Innovation (ACI) Fellow for 2010. The fellowship honors those who have demonstrated the capacity to conduct research that is likely to be transformative and potentially of high impact and who have contributed outstanding broader impacts through their promotion of diversity in the U.S. scientific and engineering workforce.

Only ten recipients receive this prestigious NSF award annually. Dr Schmidt will use funding from the award to continue her innovative research on nerve regeneration.
