Dian Jiao, a BME graduate student in Professor Pengyu Ren’s Computational Biomolecular Engineering Lab, is a winner of the Chemical Computing Group (CCG) Excellence Award.

CCG will recognize Mr. Jian’s works at the awards presentation ceremony during the COMP Division Poster Session on Tuesday, March 24, 2009. All winners will receive $1,150 US for travel costs to Salt Lake City and a one-year license for the newest version of the Molecular Operating Environment (MOE).

The CCG Excellence Award is granted semi-annually to invest in the future of scientific research and encourage a new generation of computational chemists. Awardees are selected based on the quality and significance of the research to be presented and the strength of the supporting letter and supplemental materials.
