The Society for Biomaterials has awarded graduate student Taneidra Buie with a Student Award for Outstanding Research.

Buie, who graduated with her doctoral degree in December 2020, works with Professor Elizabeth Cosgriff-Hernandez. Her research focuses on the development of scaffolds with tunable drug release.

“This award recognizes Taneidra’s research excellence, dedication to mentoring, and commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion. It has truly been a privilege to work with her during her doctoral studies,” says Dr. Cosgriff-Hernandez.

The award will be presented to Buie during the Society for Biomaterials’ Annual meeting, April 20-23.
