Areas of Responsibility

• Monitor the BME building construction process and report on progress to chairman as necessary; coordinate move-ins for the BME building
• Assist in managing, coordinating and monitoring the physical, environmental, security, maintenance and safety of the BME building.
• Coordinate maintenance and renovation activities in BME building with occupants, Physical Plant, outside contractors, vendors, and other UT departments as necessary or as assigned. (PP10)
• Conduct periodic site inspections to determine status of interior and exterior building conditions.
• Maintain and update record of building inspections.
• Determine cost and priorities of maintenance and renovation work in college buildings.
• Monitor safe laboratory conditions in the BME building at all times.
• Serve as point of contact for 911 type of emergencies.
• Coordinate, conduct and submit report for annual inventory for department and research labs. Conduct and submit annual space inventory.
• Work with faculty to ensure appropriate space is allocated for research equipment in the new building.
