Dian Jiao Receives CCG Excellence Award

Dian Jian, a BME graduate student in Professor Pengyu Ren’s Computational Biomolecular Engineering Lab, is a winner of the Chemical Computing Group (CCG) Excellence Award. CCG will recognize Mr. Jian’s works at the awards presentation ceremony during the COMP Division Poster Session on Tuesday, March 24, 2009. All winners will receive $1,150 US for travel costs to Salt Lake City, as well as a one-year license for the newest version of the Molecular Operating Environment (MOE).

The CCG Excellence Award is granted semi-annually as an opportunity to invest in the future of scientific research and to encourage a new generation of computational chemists. Awardees are selected on the quality and significance of the research to be presented, as well as the strength of the supporting letter and supplemental materials.
