Schmidt appointed to Editorial Board for Journal of Biomedical Materials Research
Dr. Christine Schmidt was recently appointed to the Editorial Board of the Journal of Biomedical Materials Research. Additionally, in December 2006, Dr. Schmidt served as an invited speaker and the event moderator ("Master of Ceremonies") for a symposium on "Visions of Biological Engineering"as part of the UT Metroplex Days and the UT-DFW Initiative for Biological Sciences and Engineering. She was also a recent invited speaker in for the Workshop on Stem Cells in Regenerative Medicine and Tissue Engineering, which was sponsored by the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health of the National Science and Technology Council (February 2007) and a keynote speaker at the International Symposium on Polymeric Materials for Regenerative Medicine sponsored by the Industrial Materials Institute of the National Research Council of Canada (April 2007).
