Rudy Ortiz and Cindy Zimmerman awarded the Texas Exes' James W. Vick Award for Academic Advising
Undergraduate Advisors, Rudy Ortiz and Cindy Zimmerman, were each awarded the Texas Exes' James W. Vick Award for Academic Advising. Texas Exes maintains a commitment to enhancing the quality of the student experience at The University of Texas. Since 1992, along with the Office of the President, the Texas Exes have provided awards for outstanding academic advisors from across campus. The Vick Advising Awards recognize individuals whose dedication to students has had an effective, positive influence on the educational experience and lives of those they advise. Receiving this award is truly an honor, as the recipients are nominated and selected solely by students. The presentation of these awards will be Tuesday, March 8, 2005 during a luncheon at the Etter-Harbin Alumni Center. The example they have set will have far-reaching benefits for The University of Texas for years to come. For helping students to have a positive experience at this university, we thank and congratulate them.
