The Department seeks to build long-term relationships with visionary industry leaders and companies through departmental, college, and university-wide programs.
The Industry Affiliates Program provides financial support for numerous Department activities and organizations. Industry Affiliate membership dues in 2006-2007 will provide support for the BME seminar series, the BME Honor Society (Beta Mu Epsilon), The Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES), and other BME activities. Participation is a terrific way to make a valuable contribution to the Department and to establish contacts and build name recognition for your company at the university. Industry Affiliates of the Department include Abbott Spine (Austin, TX), Apollo Endosurgery (Austin, TX), Arthrocare (Austin, TX), Avail Medical Products, Inc. (Irving, TX), Baker Botts LLP (Austin, TX), Kinetic Concepts, Inc. (San Antonio, TX), Luminex (Austin, TX), Monebo Technologies, Inc. (Austin, TX), National Instruments (Austin, TX), NTEC Inc.
