Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting

Autologous veins are grafted between the aorta and just below the occlusion in the coronary arteries to provide adequate blood flow to the heart.

A picture of a Coronary Artery Bypass Graft: It involves a procedure to bypass a blocked section of a coronary artery and to deliver oxygen to the heart. One end of the blood vessel is attached to the aorta, the other end is attached to the coronary artery at a point below the blockage thereby bypassing the blockage.
