Areas of Responsibility
- Assist undergraduate BME students with academic advising, registration, UT policies and procedures both individually and in groups.
- Serve as liaison between BME faculty and students Maintain Advisor's Toolkit, NRRECS, NRDEGR, and online applications for Major Sequence and permission to take less than 14 hours of coursework in a single semester.
- Coordinate (with the assistance of other undergraduate office staff) student recruitment and welcome events, graduation reception, Explore UT, Parent's Weekend and other student-centered activities.
- Work with the Undergraduate Faculty Advisor and other faculty members on the Undergraduate Catalog revisions.
- Keep faculty mentor and student handbooks up-to-date.
- Coordinate and conduct a FIG (Freshman Interest Group).
- Represent department in meetings with students, parents, faculty and administrators.
- Attend necessary College and departmental advising meetings.
- Serve as department coordinator for BME Study Abroad
- Assist Curriculum Committee regarding undergraduate curriculum changes and updates.
