UT to Host 2010 BMES Annual Meeting

The University of Texas at Austin will host the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) 2010 Annual Meeting.

About BMES Annual Meetings

BMES annually conducts a three day scientific Meeting with oral (platform) and poster presentations, industry and institutional exhibits, hosts student sessions and events, career services, and pre-Meeting workshops, special symposia or courses. BMES' Meeting is typically held late September or early October and the three core days of the program are typically Thursday through Saturday.

Tracks/Topic areas of recent BMES Meetings have included: Cardiovascular Engineering, Respiratory Engineering, Orthopedic and Rehab Engineering, Neural Engineering, Cellular and Molecular Engineering, Tissue Engineering and Biomaterials, Bioinformatics and Systems Biology, Device Technologies - from Nano to Micro, Biomedical Imaging and Optics, Biomedical Engineering Education and New Frontiers.

BMES Meeting attendees are leaders and decision makers in research, design, and applications of medical technology. By 2009, the BMES Annual Fall Meeting is expected to attract more than 2,200 participants from over 20 countries representing a wide variety of practicing engineers from biomedical, electrical, chemical, mechanical, and other engineering fields, as well as medical specialists. BMES is proud to enjoy the participation of over 100 participating companies.
