Undergraduate Advising Office

The mission of the Undergraduate Advising Office in the Department of Biomedical Engineering is to assist students in seeking a deeper learning and understanding in the biomedical engineering field. The office provides academic support services and student life enrichment resources to help each student succeed with academic, professional, and personal goals.

The Undergraduate Advising Office provides academic advising and all student-related services to BME undergraduates. The two BME academic advisors, Jeff and Cindy, both offer an open-door policy throughout the year, and are usually available on a walk-in basis during non-registration periods. The office provides many different resources regarding degree plans, industry and research opportunities, different academic programs, and scholarship information. There are also a variety of informational brochures and pamphlets that provide useful insight for college students.

The department of Biomedical Engineering recognizes the value of each student’s experience at The University of Texas at Austin. To that end, the Undergraduate Advising Office serves as a valuable support network for all BME undergraduates, and desires to ensure the success of all students within the department. For additional information, please contact the Undergraduate Advising Office at (512) 471-4254, or visit us in BME 3.308.
